Based in North East England, I began training and working Labradors and Spaniels for picking up in the shooting field. This progressed to competing in local working tests with Labradors and subsequently retriever field trials.
I have represented the England Retriever Gundog Team with: FTCh Lowforge Aragon Of Leacaz, FTCh Troddenmills Beck And Call Of Leacaz FTW Lowforge Glenaveigh Of Leacaz I am delighted to have trained Three Field Trial Champions in the Leacaz Kennels and am very proud of all my dogs.
As a Kennel Club 'A' panel Field Trial Retriever judge; I have judged working tests and field trials throughout the UK and Europe. I can provide training sessions for groups and individuals; which take place on a variety of ground and terrain. I also take part in Gundog demonstrations such as the Galloway Fair at Drumlanrig Castle. I occasionally have Labrador and Spaniel pups available with details on the litters page. Jed qualified for the 2023 I.G.L. where he put in a great performance over the 3 days making it to the last 12 dogs (67 started). At only 2 years old, I am so proud of his consistent level of competing as he thoroughly enjoys his trialling! *** AND he's off a running in 2024 already! ....................competing in West Midlands two day Open Trial where he came a very good 2nd place - giving him a 'B' qualification already for the 2024 I.G.L. Championships. JED completed the working test season by attaining TOP SCORING DOG at the CHATSWORTH INTER CLUB TEAM EVENT |
